RiskExec Product Release Notes - August 1, 2019

August 1, 2019
RiskExec has recently been updated to include the following corrections/enhancements.

Regulatory

The CFPB has added/updated four Edit Checks in the latest 2019 HMDA Filing Instructions Guide (FIG).  We have updated V644, V648, V696, and V699 to comply with the FIG.  Click here to view the 2019 HMDA FIG. These will automatically be run on you next time your HMDA 2019 file is Edit-checked.

Map Transitions

In an effort to streamline our feature offerings, RiskExec will be removing Maps 1.0 on September 8, 2019.  Users will no longer have access to Maps 1.0 on and after that date.  Maps 1.0 is currently accessed by clicking “View Map” within the HMDA, CRA, Fair Lending, Redlining Analysis, and Assessment Areas modules.  We have a new mapping feature that was released on September 10, 2018, called Maps 2.0.  When we remove Maps 1.0, Maps 2.0 will be renamed Maps and will be found within Batch Geocoding, Peer Analysis, and the aforementioned modules. Please contact me if this causes any issues or if you have any questions. We want to make sure that all functionality of Maps 1.0 is available in Maps 2.0

Map 2.0 Updates

Export

When a user exports a map to PDF or PNG format, they have the ability to crop the map image to a size that fits better on a standard document.  They also have the ability to move, include, or completely exclude the map’s legend.  In addition, when exporting to a PDF, the user can give the map a title that will appear on the PDF document.

Map Legend

A user may now move the map legend or minimize it on the map. We have also updated the legend to not include properties that have a zero count in the file.

Functionality Updates

RiskExec has created a new tool called the Radius Tool. After clicking the button in the top left corner of the map, a user can select a point on the map and then either highlight all tracts that are included within a specified radius (in miles) or draw a circle on the map with the given radius (in miles).  For example, when a user selects a specific branch, they can choose to show all tracts within a 15-mile radius. We have also added a scale control to the map that is now viewable in the bottom left corner of the map.

Universal Search Bar

Users are able to search and zoom to a specific location on the map using the universal search bar.  In addition to locating specific loan applications, States, Counties, MSAs, and Assessment Areas, we have now included the ability to search and zoom to specific addresses and zip codes.

Themes

Maps 2.0 now includes a Household Income by Tract theme.

Layers

While utilizing RiskExec’s Redlining module, the Assessment Area layers will be available on analysis maps if the analysis uses an Assessment Set.  Users can now apply themes to a selected Assessment Area on the map.

Batch Operations

For an exempt file, users are now able to generate a NULI for the application number or copy the NULI into the application number field through batch operations.

HMDA

Edit Checks

For 2018 HMDA files and moving forward, RiskExec has added a column for ULI to the Edit Check Detail Screen.  It is located between the Application Number and Loan Action columns. Note that for exempt files it will be labeled as NULI.

Geocoding

Within the application detail form, RiskExec will now display alternate geocoding results.  If the address of the record was ever geocoded and received a different result than what is currently set then users will be able to view results from other data sources (including the FFIEC).  In addition, users can select one of these alternate geocoding results and save the results to the record, making it a manually geocoded record.

Peer Analysis

Because the 2018 HMDA peer data currently has the potential to change on a weekly basis as filers resubmit and RiskExec updates the data in our system, a date stamp for the data that was used on a peer report will now be included in the header.

Miscellaneous/Administration

RiskExec has added the option to configure User-Defined Fields (UDF) to be available for either single field update imports or batch operation batch updates in the Manage Institution section.
