Find out why a top-ten mortgage lender with a proprietary loan origination system (LOS) needed to convert from a legacy document platform.
Meet Sherry Sepeda! She’s an Accounting Associate at Asurity and this February, we celebrated her 34th anniversary with our team!
Describe what you do at Asurity in 3 words or less?
SS: Billing, Receivables, Payables.
What is your favorite thing about working at Asurity?
SS: The people - When you have great people to work with, it makes the job much easier and much more pleasant.
What is one thing you love to do outside of work?
SS: I love to read. Nothing better than a good drink, a good novel, and a great chair. Trashy novels, biographies, history; just whatever sounds good at the time.
What is something few people know about you?
SS: I love history.
What is your favorite place in the world, and why?
SS: New York City. It’s a great place to visit. There is always something to do anytime - day or night. Wonderful restaurants, museums, and shows. There is always something going on. It is fun to just walk around and find out-of-the-way diners and delis; the little neighborhood places. I love going up the Empire State Building just for the views of the city. It’s so pretty at night. Everyone should go at least once.
If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, past or present, who would it be?
SS: My Grandpa, Nick Saban, or Elvis
If you could have one super power, what would it be?
SS: Time Travel - Travel to any time and see events when they are occurring or visit with people you’ve only read about. Personally get to experience historic events whether they’re milestones or just watching Arnold Palmer win the Masters.
