2023 FDIC Summary of Deposits Data

On Friday, September 22, 2023, the FDIC released the annual Summary of Deposits data for all FDIC-insured institutions. Please note that this data is as of June 30, 2023. Click here to learn more about the release.

The data is ready for immediate use and you are able to access it through the Peer Analysis module as well as when importing locations in the Manage Institutions tab.

Redlining Module

Ability to Transfer Data to Redlining Module

We have improved the process when creating datasets in the Redlining Analysis module from existing Fair Lending datasets. Now a user can select the option Other for Data Type when importing Fair Lending data into the Redlining module.  This Data Type should be used for analysis of datasets that do not have peer data available.

HMDA Module

RiskExec has incorporated the changes from the 2024 HMDA Filing Instructions Guide (FIG) for following Validity Edit Checks:

  • V720,V667,V665, and V662 have all been updated to incorporate new credit scoring models 12, 13, 14 and 15
  • Q660 is a new edit that prevents filers from inputting a street address that exceeds 100 characters. Also, it prevents filers from reporting multiple street addresses in a single field.

Assessment Areas Module

Rating Areas and Scope Type

One essential component of a CRA Examination is the ability to aggregate and report by Rating Areas and also whether an Area is Full-Scope or Limited-Scope. Users are now able to assign optional Rating Areas and Scope when creating Assessment Areas within a Submission set. The option to include Rating Area and Scope Types is available on the Create Assessment/REMA Set screen.

Users will assign the rating areas and scope types when creating each assessment area. In general, a Rating Area is either one State or a Multi-State MSA. RiskExec also allows users to create a Custom Rating Area by providing a name for it. This functionality allows assessment areas to be grouped in the same way they are grouped in CRA Performance Evaluations.

Tracts by Geography Report

The Tracts by Geography report now includes a grouping by Assessment Area.

Peer Analysis Module

Respondent Group Peer Set Parameters Report

A new report has been added to the Peer Analysis module called the Respondent Group Peer Set Parameters report. This report will identify any parameters that were set when creating a Respondent Group peer set. Users will be able to download this report in various formats.

Miscellaneous

The Branch List report has been updated to allow users to select more than one location group and type at a time to review.
